Hello Chamber Members,

Happy New Year! Best wishes for you and your family. We are excited with the start of a New Year to continue our Restructuring. We thank those that came and participated during our Round Table Meetings and are taking everyone’s input seriously. The main focus at the moment is finishing up and sending to print our 2019 Visitor & Relocation Guide and Restructuring.  Plus, planning of the Buena Vista Wedding Expo on February 23rd.

Restructuring – In a separate email announcement we will be sending you a detailed introduction to our new team of four – all of whom have been hired!  We have also scheduled a Board of Directors & Team Members planning retreat graciously facilitated by the Chaffee County Community Foundation, Executive Director, Michael Hannigan.  We will be sharing our new/revised mission statement and vision that will be created at this retreat in our February newsletter.  We are very excited to be rolling out new programs and initiatives over the next several months.

2019 Visitor & Relocation Guide –  We are diligently working on the new guide.  It has increased in size from 120 pages last year to 140 pages with new content on winter sport trails, dispersed camping, rockhounding, jeeping, biking, music and feature business stories.  We also owe a great deal of thanks to Joe & Kimmie Randall with Digital Art CO (photos to right) and John & Coleen Graybill with Mountain Spirit Photography for supplying spectacular photography that showcases our amazing valley and businesses. Thank you to all of the members who purchased an ad for the 2019 Guide.  We sold more ads than ever thanks to you and the hard work of Jon Cobb.  We are more than doubling our print production of this 2019 Guide to 25,000 copies distributed in all of our states Welcome Centers, Visitor Centers & Chamber of Commerce’s.  Plus, businesses in Chaffee and Lake counties.  Next, month we will showcase the new FREE downloadable version and print copies of the Guide.
