GAIN NECESSARY ROCK RESCUE SKILLS

LEARN THE TOOLS AND TECHNIQUES TO EFFICIENTLY GET YOU AND YOUR PARTNERS OUT OF TROUBLE IN THE VERTICAL ROCK ENVIRONMENT

This course is for experienced rock climbers who want to learn foundational rock rescue skills for the single pitch and multi-pitch environment. Participants will learn about belay escapes, how to release loaded “auto-locking” belay devices, haul systems, lowering techniques, and basic load transfers. These are the skills you hope you never have to use but need to have in your back pocket in the event of an emergency. Participants should know how to belay/rappel and be familiar with basic knots and hitches before enrolling in this course. This course will take place at Bob’s Rock and will be taught by an AMGA Rock Guide.
