Discovery Room of the First Presbyterian Church

GARNA’s first presentation of the new year will explore the amazing life of pronghorns on Friday, January 11.  Matthew Coen, local naturalist and self-proclaimed pronghorn enthusiast, will delve into the fascinating natural history of these Rocky Mountain “speed goats”.  Pronghorns have been roaming North America for over a million years and possess fascinating characteristics that make them one of the most rare and unique creatures on the planet.

The talk will take place in the Discovery Room of the First Presbyterian Church, 7 Poncha Blvd. Salida, CO, Friday January 11, from 7pm-8:30pm.  The cost for the program is $3 for GARNA members, $6 for non-members.  All fees support important stewardship initiatives in the Upper Arkansas Valley.  The presentation is handicap accessible and open to the public.  If special assistance is required, please call the GARNA office a few days in advance so accommodations can be made.  Contact the GARNA office at 719-539-5106 Monday-Friday from 9am-4pm.  To learn more about the program, please visit the GARNA website at
