Forest Square Park

On October 14, people across the globe will join the movement to abolish slavery one step at a time. The event is a collective effort led by A21, a global anti-human trafficking organization dedicated abolishing slavery everywhere, forever. A21’s desire with the 4th annual Walk For Freedom is to shine a global spotlight on human trafficking and raise funds to continue their efforts to rescue, restore, and rebuild lives.

BV HOPE will be hosting a Walk For Freedom in Buena Vista that begins and ends at Forest Square Park next to the Buena Vista Chamber of Commerce. We will start sign in and t-shirt distribution at 1:00. After a few words and some music we will walk at 1:30 1.2 miles silently in remembrance of the millions of slaves in our world today.  After the walk we will have more music and refreshments and an opportunity to support A21, BV HOPE and the survivors of human trafficking. Pre-registration can be done on line.  Go to, click on the Walk for Freedom link and be directed to the A21 site that has Buena Vista as one of their official walks this year.  Please Join us in fighting this crime.  We will abolish slavery one step at a time!
