Nature/Wildlife, Landscape photography based in Nathrop, Colorado
With a natural tendency to want to “play” outside, Lea Frye has spent the last four decades climbing over rocks, hiking up mountains and taking in the scenery of stunning places all over the world. Her love of nature and eye for beauty have made photography a medium to produce evocative and artistic images of the places and the animals that she loves. Not willing to settle for the canned scenery shots, or images taken in zoo’s and wildlife parks, Lea’s work starts where the road ends. She will hike miles to find the right setting, trails not required. Capturing images of wild animals in their natural setting requires an investment in spending time in the elements, which happens to be something Lea loves to do. While she takes her camera with her on many trips, the bulk of her “work” is done while exploring the mountains in her back yard, which happens to include the 14,000 foot peaks of the Sawatch range in the upper Arkansas river valley in Colorado.
Lea and her family moved to the valley three years ago to start a new chapter in their lives. Thus the beginning of the next chapter in her life as a self taught photographer and sole proprietor of Lea.F Images. She specializes in landscapes and wild animals but also likes to show off some of our local ranch animals.
