A&S Construction and representatives from the Colorado Department of Transportation will be on-site to provide more information on the project. Meet the construction teams and learn more about:

Road designs to increase pedestrian safety and convenience

Boys & Girls Club of Chaffee County  Seeks Professional Videographer

The members of the Public Relations and Marketing Committee of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Chaffee County are seeking a professional artistic videographer to create a three to four minute video for their nonprofit nationally recognized organization. The goal of the project is to produce a video that captures with emotional artistry the activities and impact of the Clubs. Board members will use the video to connect the Clubs with supporters, families and friends. Firm deadline for project completion is August 31, with a possibility of establishing an ongoing relationship and further projects on an annual basis with the BGCCC.

Committee members will accept proposals until Friday, March 10. Submissions should include video samples of work, cost proposal for the project, three professional references and three personal references (either via letter form or contact information) and a 100-word statement about the artist’s interest in the project. Finalists will be invited to present their proposal to board members at their Wednesday, March 22 meeting in Salida and final approval of a videographer will be subject to a background check.

The Collegiate Peaks Chapter of Trout Unlimited will hold its spring member meeting for 2017 in the front room of The Boathouse Cantina, located at 228 North F Street, Salida on Wednesday, March 8th from 6:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.  The meeting is open to all Chapter members and the public is encouraged to attend as well.  Social hour starts at 6:00 p.m. providing an opportunity for everyone, whether coming from home, work or school, to purchase food and all types of drink.

This month’s program will begin at 7:00 p.m.  Tom Palka is Communications Manager for Collegiate Peaks Chapter – TU.  Tom’s program will be a how-to demonstration on finding river access using Google Earth and Mobile applications.. 

Non-member attendees will have an opportunity to win a nice door prize with a continuation of our fishing-related guest quiz.  Whether you’re an experienced angler, a long-time member, a new member just beginning to fish or a guest attending for the first time and want to learn more about trout, habitat, and opportunities join CPC at this meeting.
