Project Update for the week of June 25

Construction work is nearing completion on the Buena Vista Enhancement Project along US 24 between Mill Street and Crossman Avenue. The current priority is the installation of pedestrian crosswalk islands in the middle of US 24. Crews will continue to work on driveways and sidewalks on both sides of the highway.

  • Landscapers and road painting crews will be on-site this week.
  • Regular working hours are Monday thru Saturday from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, as weather allows.
  • Please use caution while traveling through the area, as crews are working in various locations throughout US 24. There will be various lane shifts, as necessary, for construction work.
  • In the near future, the project team will conduct a walk-through and discuss the project with individual businesses. The timing of the walk-through will be provided in our subsequent updates.

Please use appropriate speeds in the construction zone and pay close attention to flaggers’ directions. We encourage you to contact us with any questions or comments.

Thank you,  US 24 Enhancement Project

The 4th Annual #BVStrong Community Dinner will be Monday, September 25, 2017.  Join your friends and neighbors at dinner down the middle of Main Street, with the majestic Collegiate Peaks as our backdrop.

We are a community that’s diverse in opinions and ideas; yet on this night, we focus on all we have in common as we eat together at one table. We embrace the people we love and celebrate those we’ve lost, cheer our accomplishments, and anticipate the return to “just us” as the summer season winds down.  All are welcome, and there’s a seat for everyone at our table. Our beautiful views are surpassed only by the beautiful people who call BV home!
