MESSAGE FROM THE DIRECTOR

January brought a flurry of activity to the chambers team.  Planning  the many 2017 chamber sponsored events began in earnest.  We are always looking for ways to improve these events so that they better support the desires and needs of our members.

The Buena Vista Business Expo will be April 1st.  This year we are expanding the event to include classes and seminars.  If you have an area of expertise and are interested in sharing that in a class-like setting at the Expo please give us a call, we’d love to discuss that with you.

The Buena Vista Chamber of Commerce has organized and been in charge of the 4th of July parade for many years.  This iconic small town America parade is beloved in our community and brings many visitors to the area.  We would like to expand the 4th of July celebration to bring more traffic to local businesses.  We approached the Town for help on this and a community meeting for business input were setup for Feb. 2nd.  We will keep you updated.

The Chamber is excited to announce the 2017 Buena Vista Geocache Journey will kick off on May 1st with a special prize segment running from May 1st to Nov 1st.   Our Geocache Journey showcases engaging geocaches designed to introduce participants to the Buena Vista area.  We have contracted with Geocaching.com, a leader in Geotours to maximize visitors to the area for the tour.  More information on this coming soon………….

The Buena Vista Chamber of Commerce works to advance the business and civic interests of our community. There are several smaller business organizations which have recently been formed in Buena Vista.  While each may have a unique focus we have found that the general overall aim of all of them is to promote business in our community. The chamber attends many of these meetings to both glean knowledge from them and to assist, provide support, and to represent the interest of our members. The Chamber is the one device that brings together the business and professional interests of the community, permitting them to accomplish collectively what none of them could do individually.

Please welcome these NEW MEMBERS:
